This story makes no sense! It must not have happened!
I think this was all filmed on a soundstage in New Mexico!!!
Big brother punched little brother in the arm. Little brother ran and hid. Big brother lied to parents. Gullible press makes me sick again.
The neeeeeeeeed for the scoop has destroyed research and accuracy.
Naturally, for the past hour or so I’ve been watching the Continuous Coverage (helicopters following the Balloon & all) of this LIVE BREAKING NEWS!!! by my trusty Cablenewsies ;>, and I gotta give ’em credit: I have Never seen them more Befuddled. 🙂 Why, even the usually hyperaccurate Wolf Blitzer ;} breathlessly asked “a balloon expert” on the phone what might happen to the boy trapped inside “this hot-air balloon”; to which the Balloonman replied, “Well, Wolf, to begin with, it’s not a Hot Air balloon, it’s a Helium balloon…” and went on very knowledgeably (it seemed) from there — but with little cooling effect on the Hot Air being blown around the cable studios.
The Balloonyoonie guy said he & his Ballooneytunes compatriots had roughly calculated the approximate volume of helium which the silvery little toy craft could hold, and the Lift generated thereby, and concluded that it is Unlikely the thing could have ever Gotten off the Ground with even a small boy inside it.
I think the Cablenewsies have been Punk’d, here. 😉
But let’s hope the little kid is OK, wherever he is.
CNN: the missing boy has been found, hiding in a box in the garage.
🙂
Ah, something new to teach my children.
* Don’t hit.
* Play nice.
* Share.
* If you accidentally break or lose one of Mommy or Daddy’s toys, just tell Mommy or Daddy about it. We’ll still love you. Definitely don’t hide in a box while we, and the entire population of Planet Earth, think you’re flying in an empty balloon at 10,000 feet for 2 1/2 hours over 50 miles.
Parenting is so complicated.
Actually CNN says he was in the attic. Geez Joe, lying about what CNN says? What are you Fox News??
A couple of questions:
1) Does Colorado have a 3 strikes law?
2) If yes, does this count as a strike?
3) If yes, who gets the strike?
This may be too much to ask, but I admit I’d be happy if the answer to #3 were “Wolf Blitzer”. Though I’d also settle for Lou Dobbs.
David K., no I’m not Fox News, but I Watch them on Television. (a) Know thy Enemy; plus (b) sometimes Slumming can be Fun. :> // And anyway, I’ll have yez to know that Hartford WFSB-TV Eyewitness News at 11 stated categorically that the kid was found in a Box in the Attic of the Garage. So there. (See, in Greater Denver people have Garages with Attics. / Hi Brendan. 🙂
