When did they start using AQ? Seriously took me forever to figure out what it meant when I started seeing it this season…

I first saw it a few months ago. Not sure its origin, but I have deigned to use it (unlike some other “changes” like FBS/FCS) because I think it’s less confusing than talking about a “non-BCS” team making it into “the BCS,” which is just a really odd turn of phrase, when you think about it. Also, AQ is shorter than BCS, which is good in this Twitter age.

They should do like they used to with div 1, A and AA, but this time use dollar signs. The BCS conferences can be the $$$ conferences, and the non BCS can be the $ ones

My desired abbreviation is the BS system, but that would cause confusion, despite it’s accuracy.
