Reading the bowl scenarios, it looks like Oregon State would fall all the way to the Emerald or Las Vegas Bowl with a loss. Rose Bowl or Emerald Bowl? Wow.

Also, an Oregon win means USC probably goes to the Holiday Bowl if the Trojans win out, while an Oregon State win rules out the Holiday Bowl for the Trojans and probably sends us to the Sun Bowl.
Despite this, I’ll be rooting for Oregon State, because — counterintuitively — I think a Beavers win benefits Boise State, for reasons I’ll probably explain in a blog post sometime next week. And really, who cares if USC is in the Holiday Bowl or the Sun Bowl? They’re both crappy bowls anyway. Wake me when we’re back in the BCS. 🙂
