Does NBC really have an angle on this? They’re the one’s who aren’t honoring the contract. Granted, if Conan doesn’t want to take the 40 mil not to work for NBC, I’ll gladly take it, and even promise to never work again. NBC pulled this same BS with Letterman claiming they owned the rights to “The worlds most dangerous band”. That’s the height of low class pettiness.

Yup. Hence “Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra” (instead of WMDB) and the “CBS Mailbag” (as opposed to “Viewer Mail”). But Letterman just thumbed his nose at the NBC lawyers on “Stupid Pet Tricks” and “Stupid Human Tricks.”
