Did anybody catch Tiger’s speech? I took note of the part where he mournfully pointed out that he had thought that because he was Tiger Woods, he didn’t have to play by the rules of the rest of society, which is obviously wrong, apparently he does.
I took note of that part because, while it is true that I am fat and ugly and not a world-class athlete, my reasons for happily playing the role of Domesticated Man are not because that’s “the rules”. Maybe I couldn’t land the Vegas-quality warmed-over platinum blonde showgirls that Tiger shags, but I gotta believe that, with a couple $100 in my pocket, I could go downtown and roughly approximate the same thing.
Seriously, if that guy’s battling a world-class sex addiction, and he thinks he’s going to play the Domesticated Man role…while travelling 52 weeks a year…because that’s “the rules”….
…my money’s on the sex addiction. What a train wreck.
I didn’t make it clear enough above – the Domesticated Man role, while perhaps not as glamorous as shagging warmed over showgirls, holds a lot of appeal to guys like me and the nerds I know. The extent of Tiger’s compliment to domestication was…that’s the “rules”.
