NBC’s Chuck Todd: “There’s no worse crime in journalism these days than simply deciding something’s a story because Drudge links to it.”
I know about this interview with Chuck Todd because… Drudge linked to it.

I love Chuck Todd. Mancrush time!
I’d like to know what Chuck Todd considers newsworthy, then.
Seems to me anything on Drudge has a built-in audience bigger than any of MSNBC’s programming. If they were wise, they’d give Drudge the whole network.
I’m a fan of Chuck Todd as well, so I have to view his remark as a bit of hyperbole. I mean, anyone not living in a tree can think of any number of “crimes” in journalism that were way, way friggin’ worse than simply deciding something’s a story because Drudge links to it (Rathergate, anyone?). And many such “crimes” are routinely committed by Todd’s pals at MSNBC (you know, that sophisticated alternative to Fox News).
“The war is over. Drudge won it.”
