Haven’t seen one this good in a while:
So often, in recent years, it seems like the closest we get to NCAA “buzzer beaters” are shots that come in the final few seconds, but the clock stops to set up a game-ending anticlimax. Even Northwestern State’s memorable shot to beat Iowa was like that. And too often, literal “buzzer beaters” are mere game-tying shots, like Kansas vs. Memphis in 2008. It’s awesome to see an actual game-winning buzzer-beater, and by an actual underdog no less — to say nothing of the fact that I called the upset. Awesome.
P.S. Sorry, Loyette. As Mike Marchand says: “One day she will get a brochure from Murray State, and she will put it in the shredder, and she won’t really know why.” Heh.
