🙁
Rest in Peace, Wizard of Westwood — the only Bruin who could get a standing ovation from a room full of Trojans.
It’ll be distinctly bittersweet now, if/when Geno’s Huskies surpass the winning streak of Wooden’s Bruins next year. I wish he could have lived to see it (since you know he would’ve been incredibly classy about it — and he loves women’s basketball), and to turn 100.

I know Coach Wooden wouldn’t mind, but I hope Uconn loses before they break the record, no offense to them, I just want to see that record stand 🙂
Rest in peace Coach.

Fair enough, although keep in mind, the record would still “stand” for men’s basketball either way. And it almost certainly will never be broken on that side of the gender divide, unless the NBA decides to make players still in school till they’re 21 or something. And probably not even then.

Wow, the poor guy dies 1 year short of the century mark. Just one more demonstration of how UCLA sucks!
