Hard to see how this works for the Big 12. Beebe claims he can now get the same money as SEC when the conference becomes smaller and more regionalized than it was previously? Something does not add up to me.
I suppose now we have to appeal to Texas’ sense of greed – at least, the sense of greed that doesn’t consist of desiring its own TV network. Nebraska, one of your biggest opponents on the field and in the boardroom, is gone. You could lose games against A&M. And do you really think you’ll have as much power in the Pac-16 that you have wielded and would continue to wield in the Big 12?
Wouldn’t that kinda be the college football equivalent of weekend at Bernie’s? The conference is dead we just drag it out for a few years for laughs?
