While the headline of the report reads as you indicate…of course the actual initial story was not based on “USC charges”…rathere they were a report on a USC fan site. It is thus very interesting that the “NCAA” decided to respond to what is essentially a USC fan blog post. Wonder who Stacey Osburn is…a person connected with the infractions commitee I suspect. I think whoever it is would have been better served by ignoring the blog story as it just gives it more publicity and perhaps makes it a bigger issue in the upcoming appeal….i.e. it may force the appeals committee to actually address this controversy which at the very least shows incompetence on the part of the investigative staff.
