    Actually I think people are a little out of whack on this one, and the tech press isn’t helping. The anandtech article, if you read the whole thing, is decidedly less critical than many of these other yahoos are. While they conclude that something should be done by Apple about the problem, they point out several mitigating factors:

    1.) The scaling of the signal strength display on the iPhone makes the issue seem worse than it is.

    2.) The phone can make due with a very low signal, if it has bars it works fine.

    Jobs said it wrong. But, he’s right here. This is why I don’t fly into rages when my electronics don’t work. Seriously, it IS just a phone. But then again, I don’t get featured on tech blogs, do I?

    Turns out it’s not from Jobs, those emails were faked.
    I do agree that the tech press is making a mountain out of a mole hill with this one. Even on
    Those phones in areas exhibiting this behavior they are performing as well as or better than the 3G/3GS.
