Well it’s official, folks, the 12-team Big Ten will continue with its tradition of not knowing how to count. Maybe they could just say they only count the ten best teams each year, and the other two are on probation or something?

In related news the Big 12 had no comment on rumors it planned to change its name to Texas and the Nine Dwarves.
I still like “The Big 10: starring Texas. With special guest Baylor!”
I’m sticking with the Sports Bubble Ten, even if Kyle Whelliston and I are the only ones who get it.
The Big-10 with 12 teams will remain the Big-10 and the Big-12 with 10 teams will remain the Big-12. With all the expansion and retraction it may be a good time to drop the numerals altogether and just go with Pacific, East, South, South Eastern, and North. You could include the Atlantic as the Really Seriously South Eastern but that conference should be in Division III anyway.
Just don’t make it the Top Ten or Illinois will fall out most of the time. I say Big Ten forever!
