This is a perfect example of government screwing things up. We are going to pay people to trap the geese, transport them to another location, hold them for some length of time, kill them and then bury them.
What New York should do, is sell the hunting rights to the geese and raise some cash, rather than spend money.
At the very least, they should follow AML’s advice and give the dead geese to food banks.
