Maybe I’m off base here, but since we’re talking bodies of water, shouldn’t it be the Navy Corps of Engineers dealing with these things and not the Army Corps of Engineers? Perhaps that’s how we ended up with so many deficient dams in the first place….

I wonder if Canada would be willing to lend us some of its Corps of Beavers ?
Get ready for more of these. We have 4,000+ deficient dams in this country, nearly 2,000 of which are near population centers.
Tons of stimulus money should have gone in this direction, but I don’t see that much really has. Which leaves us with 2 options:
1. Repair dams somehow.
2. Swimming lessons.
