    Here’s the kicker:

    The three conferences (Big Ten, Big 12, SEC) with the lowest percentages of OOC games played against AQ schools from 1998-2009 and 2006-2009 have earned 91% of BCS at-large AQ bids.

    Beating a 10-1 Texas Tech is a lot more impressive when four of TTU’s wins came against OOC cupcakes, vs. a probable 7-4 TTU. That’s why these three conferences always get a second team into the BCS.
