Perhaps the best thing for the anti-Palin movement would be for the GOP to get to 50. Then perhaps Christine O’Donnell will serve as a powerful warning to the Tea Party they have to at least consider electibility. “Dick Durban gets to be Senate Majority Leader for 2 years because we nominated an unqualified, unelectible candidate in Delaware. Do you want to give Obama 4 more years by making the same mistake twice?”

Even better would be if the GOP’s path to 50 is via victories in 9 out of the following ten states: ND, AR, IN, PA, WI, IL, WV, WA, CA and CT. In other words, no Delaware, no Nevada and no Colorado. So the Tea Triumvirate loses, and costs the Republicans not just a majority, but a solid majority (53!)… and they have to deal with not even Durban, but Harry Reid(!!), for the next 2 years.

Alas, I don’t see that happening, at least with regard to Colorado. If the Dems win here, I don’t see them losing CT, CA, WA, WV, WI, etc. Nevada is plausible, though. Harry Reid’s a douchebag, but I’ve love to see the Tea Party Mama Grizzly duo of Angle & O’Donnell both go down and keep the GOP just short of a majority.

Er, except I want the GOP to get the majority, because that’s good for Obama…

Yes, but also good for Obama would be a Sarah Palin as the 2012 GOP nominee, although perhaps you consider having to listen to her for months on end and 3 Presidential debate to be too steep a price to pay.

Off all the potential swing seats (I consider ND, AR, and IN “in the bag” pending a monumental f*ck up), I most desperately want IL, CA, PA, WI, NH, OH, and WA. CT I want not so much for political reasons, but because I think Blumenthal is a punk. NV and DE are just numbers on the caucus tally to me. Prior to the O’Donnell, I had hoped that Angle would be the Tea Party precautionary tail.

I thought Republicans were opposed to Plan B?

Depends on which plan it is. After all, Republicans are evil, like the Sith, and Sith Lord Emperor Palpatine was a master of Plan B.
