He was fired because of his appearance on O’Reilly on Monday. Everyone should be outraged.

NPR must not have seen the whole segment, otherwise they would know that Williams was actually arguing against overgeneralizing when it comes to Muslims and terrorism.

Gahrie, I know full well why he was fired, the point of the Goldblog headline is that nothing he said on O’Reilly justified firing him; hence, “No Particular Reason.”
I really like NPR. Although liberal bias occasionally creeps in, I think it’s generally fairer and more balanced than just about any MSM outlet — obviously moreso than Fox or MSNBC, but I’d say moreso than the NYT or WaPo or LAT, etc. — and most importantly, it’s really really high-quality journalism, undoubtedly the best and most thorough reporting of any national broadcast outlet in the country. So it’s really disappointing to see a bad personnel decision like this undermine the network’s credibility. Plus, I like Juan Williams. He has a good radio voice!
