I hate to see the fratricide among Trojans and have to choose sides, but something doesn’t smell right on this one. Based on Lane’s take and the well-known fact that Lane had been wooing Pola ever since he left the Jaguars, I have to wonder if Fisher wasn’t simply pandering to his local base. I mean, doesn’t this look just a little too much like red meat directed at Tennessee fans?

Pola left, no one forced his hand. Sure the timing could have been better, but if I’m Jeff FIsher and Pola went along with a situation that showed a lack of professionalism, seems to me you wouldn’t want him on your staff anyway.
