Anyone ever watch @ESPN3 on a G4 PPC Mac Mini? Pondering buying http://is.gd/eWWgU & hooking to TV via VGA. Will motion be choppy or smooth? Obviously, given VGA hookup, perfect HD resolution is not an issue. I just want motion of Matt Barkley TD passes to be smooth, not jerky. 🙂
I’m guessing odds aren’t good. Flash performance on the Kac has always been poor (gee, wonder why Steve didn’t want it on the iPhone after years of Adobe doing a piss poor job on the desktop.). And who knows how little effort they have put into keeping the PPC code up to it’s even subpar quality.
Oh, it’s PPC? Don’t do it.
Yeah, hold out for an Intel version…
