Its comments like Mike’s that lead me to believe that the right wing’s supposed love of freedom and American ideals is superficial at best, and is in reality a belief that America is simply inherently superior and therefore whatever we do is right, that the definition of right and wrong is not fixed, but relative to whatever they deem necessary to claim the moral high ground.
