Bonus: We’d be become a Pac-10 TV market instead of a Big 12 market, so when ABC’s prime-time lineup is split between, say, USC-Cal and Nebraska-Iowa State, we’d get the USC game. w00t.

The upside for Colorado may be to avoid the downside from what could become a decimated Big-12 with the possibility of Missouri and/or Nebraska leaving for the Big 10 for instance. At present there is probably not much benefit to Colorado financially since the Pac 10 currently has about as bad a TV package as does the Big 12….but part of the current idea for expansion in the Pac-10 is to get a better TV contract down the line.

Of course if the teams in the Big 12 start to really get concerned about poaching from the Pac10 and the Big10 would Texas and Oklahoma then become interested in leaving the Big 12 rather than stay in a reduced Big 12 or a reconstituted Southwest Conference with the likes of Houston and TCU etc.

Now how about adding Oklahoma and Texas to the Pac 10!!!!!
