According to the Reno Gazette Journal, the Western Athletic Conference has filed suit against the Mountain West Conference, Fresno State and the University of Nevada. The lawsuit seeks to retain both schools through the 2011 season and to protect scheduling with remaining WAC members during that time.

Cal-Poly and UC-Davis have announced they are moving their football programs from the Great West to the Big Sky conference.
Desert News blogger Jared Eborn says that a source has informed him that talks between BYU and the WAC continue and that ESPN is still involved.
