As explained on the 9th grade history page, I briefly planned to stop writing the Living Room Times altogether at the end of freshman year, and replace it sophomore year with a new, less-frequently-published newspaper called “NHS Life & Times.” On the urging of my classmates, however, I abandoned this idea, and decided to continue publishing under the LRT name. But I maintained my resolve to publish less frequently, in order to prevent the Times from unduly interfering with my schoolwork and other activities. And I wanted to do something to visibly reflect this change. So, inspired by the scuttled “NHS Life & Times” idea, I decided to tack on the phrase “NHS Journal” to the newspaper’s name, to indicate that the Times had entered a new era:

This was, in retrospect, somewhat silly of me, and I now think it made the banner look rather ugly. But the idea was to differentiate the new, less-frequently-published Times from its more hyperactive predecessor. (Sound familiar? “Hopefully Considered,” anyone?)
