We came this close to seeing some major upsets this weekend, but in the end, the underdogs just couldn’t pull it off. Still, what started out the season as a very stratified Pac-10 (a couple of teams clearly at the top, a couple clearly at the bottom, and the other 6 mixed in the middle) is starting to be a… Read more »
As you may have gathered from some of my tweets, I went to today’s Colorado-Iowa State game, with Kristy. It was fun! And Colorado won! (!!) Final score was 34-14. The clear highlight, though, was the up close & personal look we got at Ralphie — shortly after his pregame run around the field — when, en route to our… Read more »
I just wrote an e-mail to Stewart Mandel’s podcast about the possibility of Boise State, having been leap(horned)frogged in the polls and BCS standings by TCU, being left out of not just the national title game, but the big-money bowls altogether. And you can find out which schools’ fans will riot, which schools fans will rejoice, and whether Brendan’s dream of biennial USC games in Colorado will come true, live on Pac-10.org (they gonna change that domain name too?) at 12:30 PM Mountain Time.
…this is pretty freakin’ awesome:
…well, you know what happened. Even if the NCAA record books say it didn’t. True confessions of an Irish Trojan: whenever I watch that video, as glad as I am that USC won, I always really feel for #90 at the end, Brian Beidatsch. Such heartbreak. Anyway… I sometimes worry that perhaps I’m getting clichéd and over-the-top when I write… Read more »
1. Oregon 6-0 (3-0 Pac-10) LW: 1 The Ducks came away with a win over Wazzu last weekend, but it wasn’t the blowout everyone was expecting. Pac-10 parity. Still the top team, but is the gap narrowing on both ends. 2. Stanford 5-1 (2-1) LW: 2 Down to the wire against the Trojans, but man did you see that hit… Read more »
