Thought for the day: If Oregon beats USC tomorrow, it will boost TCU’s longshot BCS title hopes. Why? Because if Oregon rises in the polls, so will Boise State; and if Boise rises, so, I think, will TCU. Pollsters inevitably compare the two mid-majors, and the Horned Frogs will get the better of that comparison in most folks’ eyes by season’s end.

I keep hearing criticism that the only reason the economy grew last Q is because of gov’t action. Well, duh! That’s the whole point of economic stimulus, isn’t it?
